Your company has a formal (and possibly proprietary) bid and proposal process from Blue Team to Red Team. Businesses at this level have completed performance under their first prime contract, along with analyzing and documenting the successes and areas for improvement.

Level 8 businesses also have sales (or number of employees) between 25-50% of the Small Business size standards. They are audit compliant and are authorized for both cost-type and time and materials contracts.

                                                            GRL Level 8 Characteristics

                            * Business has an Integrated Enterprise-wise Bid and Proposal Process
                            * Business has a Government Contract Capture Strategy
                            * Business has built a pipeline of target RFPs based on capability and timing
                            * Revised Full Target Market Report based on increased size and capabilities
                            * Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) Compliant Accounting System (as applicable)
                            * Business has conducted a Business Capture Workshop 2.0 based on lessons learned
                            * Business knows what RFPs are coming up based on the 'five-year cycle'

Progression Steps (GRL Level 9)

    Step 1 - Teaming with other Small Business to be ready to team with them when transitioning to a large business.

   Step 2 - Expand marketing efforts to include other 'target' agencies based on updated target market.

    Step 3 - Begin planning to leave Small Business Status.
